This is a personal blog. It has no advertising, no tracking pixels, and no third-party scripts other than the one described below, which does not load unless you say yes.
Who is responsible
Vojtěch Šíma. For anything on this page, write to vojtech.sima@daatlers.com.
If you are in the EU and you think this site handles your data wrongly, you can complain to the Czech data protection authority, Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, at uoou.gov.cz.
Before you agree to anything
No cookies are set, nothing is sent to Google, and no identifier is created. The analytics script is not merely disabled, it is not downloaded at all.
Your browser stores one thing without asking: whether you chose light or dark. It never leaves your device.
If you agree to analytics
Google Analytics 4 loads and sets two cookies, _ga and one named after the measurement id. They give you a random identifier so that two visits from the same browser count as one reader rather than two.
What is recorded: pages viewed, roughly where in the world you are, your device and browser, and how you arrived. Google receives your IP address in order to do that and does not pass it on to me. I can see totals and trends. I cannot see who you are.
Only analytics storage is granted. Advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation are explicitly denied, because none of this is advertising.
Google processes this as my processor, on servers that may be outside the EU, under their standard terms.
If you say no, or ignore it
Nothing loads and nothing is stored except the record that you declined, which stays in your browser so you are not asked again.
You can change your mind either way at any time, from the Cookies link at the foot of any page.
If you join the list
The form at the foot of each page stores your email address, which language you were reading, the page you signed up from, and the date. It is used to tell you when there is a new post, and for nothing else. It is never sold, shared or used for advertising.
Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing marks you as unsubscribed rather than deleting the row, so that a later accident cannot resurrect someone who asked to be left alone. To have the row deleted outright, write to me.
The server
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps short-lived request logs for security and abuse handling in the ordinary way. That happens whether or not you agree to analytics, because it is how any web server works.
How long anything is kept
Analytics data is kept for 14 months and then deleted by Google automatically. Subscriber records are kept until you unsubscribe and ask for removal.
What you can ask for
A copy of what is held about you, a correction, or deletion. Withdrawing analytics consent takes one click and needs no email. For anything else, write to me and I will answer.
